One of the young RTE Late Late Toy Show stars who stole the hearts of the nation last year is in hospital after a fall.
Adam King was in Cork University Hospital in recent days after suffering a “little” fall and hurting his leg.
The young man has brittle bones, meaning he is more susceptible to a break.
However, on this occasion, he was lucky not to suffer any fractures after he spent a day in hospital undergoing tests.
The Cork boy’s family issued an update about the young boy, who became a public favourite after his Toy Show appearance last November.
They also thanked the staff at CUH for bringing lots of smiles while Adam was in the hospital.
The post on Twitter said: “Adam had a little fall and hurt his leg. Thankfully, no fracture this time but a long day of tests. As always, made fun by the amazing staff @CUH_Cork.
“Please support their wonderful work by donating to @CUHCharity.
“Big hugs and thanks to Rachel for the play and smiles.”
Hundreds of people have shown their support for Adam and sent their get well soon messages to the young boy.
One person said: “So sorry to hear you had a fall. Hope you will be feeling better soon & flying around again soon with your family & friends. I love your picture. Sending virtual hugs to you.”
A second wrote: “Sorry to hear that Adam. Wishing you a speedy recovery and big virtual hugs to you and all the hospital staff.”
While someone else chimed in: “Sorry Adam is hurt again. He’s such a happy little boy, even in hospital. Hope he’s able to get home soon.
“Hope your leg is better soon Adam. I love bubbles too. Sending you a virtual hug to make you feel better,” another well-wisher wrote.
It comes after Adam was hospitalised in April after suffering a nasty fall.
The fall saw him break his femur, but he recovered well at home after a trip to CUH and thankfully didn’t need to undergo surgery.
