The collecting of moisture on interior windows is seen in homes most commonly because of high humidity levels.
Homeowners with single-pane windows may notice condensation most often, with droplets of water can covering glass and other surfaces around the house.
And during the winter months, there can be more humidity, with warm heated air hitting cold windows.
If this is a nuisnce for you, help is at hand, reports The Express.
According to Reddit user Ukes91, the easy hack takes just three minutes to carry out.
Posting in a Reddit forum dedicated to condensation-busting hacks, the user said: “In Germany, we have a technique called ‘Stosslüften’.
“What that basically means is that instead of having maybe one window open all day (which is a huge waste of energy), open several windows all over the house for three minutes, creating a strong draft to exchange most of the warm humid air inside the house with cold air from outside.
“A cool feature about cold air is that it can ‘hold’ less water vapour.
“If this relatively dry cold air enters your house, it warms up.
“Being warmer, it is suddenly capable of taking up some of the extra humidity from inside your house.
“This might sound a little weird at first but is advocated in schools and so on. I use that technique and it works.
“Do this several times a day and you should really see a change.”
Though throwing open a window in cold temperatures might not be the most ideal situation, it can certainly help to eliminate moisture.

Condensation itself is not a huge problem, but it can lead to more serious issues down the line.
Black mould in particular, is something to look out for, as patches can form around windows, on doors and on walls.
Not only does this mould look unsightly, but it can also lead to health conditions over time.
According to the NHS : “If you have damp and mould in your home you’re more likely to have respiratory problems, respiratory infections, allergies or asthma.
“Damp and mould can also affect the immune system.”
Some people are more sensitive to mould than others, including children, elderly people, those with existing respiratory problems, skin problems such as eczema or a weakened immune system.
The NHS adds: “Moulds produce allergens (substances that can cause an allergic reaction), irritants and, sometimes, toxic substances.
“Inhaling or touching mould spores may cause an allergic reaction, such as sneezing, a runny nose, red eyes and skin rash. Moulds can also cause asthma attacks.”
